2009 “The Human Connection”
“Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads. When one tugs
at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.
Our 2009 program explored the connection that we all have to one another. The
threads on the floor cover and duplicated on the terra cotta uniform gave us our
physical and interpretive connections. With a variety of pairings and groupings,
we found ourselves growing closer with the audiences and with each other
throughout the season.
We found great success in competition this season as we placed in to finals at
the WGI Raleigh Regional as well as the WGI Atlanta Power Regional. Our
strongest performance was seen at the CWEA circuit championships where we
claimed the gold medal in the Independent A Class.
Thank you to Herman Melville, John Muir and Sandra Day O’Conner for your
inspiring words that helped shape our 2009 program.
